Warrior Asphalt is a terminal for storing, modifying and blending locally-refined asphalt that provides quality paving and roofing-related materials. With access to major road, water and rail routes, we’re well positioned to serve our community and our customers across North America.
Our accredited laboratory offers a comprehensive range of laboratory services including product formulation or troubleshooting services, polymer or additive evaluations, pilot blending, and analytical testing.
Our flexible and self-sufficient processing facility allows us to produce a broad spectrum of products from modern polymer modified and oxidized roofing asphalts, to polymer modified paving asphalts.
Warrior Asphalt operates a 300,000 bbl bulk liquids terminal on the Black Warrior River, offering same-day access to much of the U.S. southeast and lower Midwest via truck, river barge and rail.
Warrior Asphalt began in 1949 as a regional refiner of Black Warrior Basin crude oil. Since then, we’ve helped build Alabama and our neighboring states’ infrastructures and economic communities by dependably supplying paving and roofing-related asphalt materials.
Today, our investment in the region continues as we upgrade our terminal and processing facilities at the original Tuscaloosa location. With convenient access to major road, water and rail routes and a dedicated staff of skilled employees, we’re well positioned to continue serving our customers and our community as part of the SWT Group of companies.
On the back wall of SWT’s building is a commissioned painting by artist Daniel Bombardier. The mural, which overlooks a parking area used by a nearby hospital’s staff, was commissioned as a thank you to all the Front Line Health Care workers for their ongoing efforts in ensuring the best of care for their community.
